The 2008 HIRA Rules are posted.

 

Hard Rubber Cars – only allowed to use all season rated tires that can be cut or siped.  No winter rated tires and absolutely No traction products.

Sport ATV – Unlimited # of studs for front and rear tires this year, two wheel drive only.

Studded Cars – only allowed to use Menard studded ice racing tires with 112 studs on the front tires, any type of tire can be used on the rear.

Soft Rubber Cars – can use a DOT cut or siped tire on the front or rear with absolutely no traction products.  This class uses softer tires with better traction and higher speeds then the Hard Rubber Class.

Utility ATV – Must use a 4x4 utility style atv with atv tires only.  Absolutely no traction products.

Racers will draw for their starting positions in round one.  The racers finishing

position in round one is inverted to determine the starting position in round two.

For example, if you finish 1st in round one you will start last in round two.  The

combined total from rounds one and two will determine the starting position

in the feature.  New for this year we will have a drawing during intermission that

will determine how many positions will be inverted, it could be none up to the

entire field!!  If there are more then 12 entries in a class a “B” feature might

be ran.  All heat races are 6 laps and features are 10 laps.
